you bloody beauty! beating Bankstown as well, must have been especially satisfying. Where you at home or away?
Tried to look on the website, but it is quite confusing. It appears that the coast is in Causey Shield 2, and leading that as of 14/12/03, and Bankstown in CSH3. There is no geographical consistency to these groupings, so I am assuming they are grades. How's it work?
Posted by Jed Wesley-Smith at February 3, 2004 9:01 AMYeah, the NSWDCA website could be better.
The way the comp works is that it is arbitrarily split into groups (usually 3) and each team plays five games before Christmas. So in our comp this season the three group winners plus the best performed second place getter qualified for the semis. We qualified second out of the top four because South Eastern managed an outright win. Clear as mud?
Anyway, we were at home for the semi but will have to travel to Sydney for the final against South Eastern (whom we beat in the final last season).
